Please will you help crews be best prepared for any emergency?
At RACQ LifeFlight Rescue our team never stops. Never stops improving, never stops training. We never stop because we never know when someone like you is going to need us.
Please donate today to help fund this vital work and continued improvements across training, maintenance and equipment for the months ahead.
Your gift will help our team respond as best as possible to save Queenslander’s like Ellie, who is a Senior Constable with Queensland Police Service. After finishing her shift at Maroochydore Watchhouse, Ellie left for home, on her motorbike. But as she approached an intersection, a four-wheel-drive vehicle pulled out immediately in front of her.
She was hit by the vehicle and went spinning across the bitumen and suffered horrific injuries. Two collapsed lungs, five broken ribs, two broken bones in her neck, and not one, but two brain haemorrhages.
Ellie urgently needed emergency treatment at the specialist neurosurgery unit at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. After initial treatment at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, the fastest, safest way of getting her there was RACQ LifeFlight Rescue.
To ensure that RACQ LifeFlight Rescue can continue to provide the best possible maintenance, training and equipment for rescue missions, please donate what you can today.
